11 May—I didn’t watch Donald Trump’s performance on CNN last night, but from what I hear and read about it this morning, the former grifter-in-chief was spouting the same old bullshit we’ve come to expect in the same old defiantly paranoid, boorish way we’ve come to expect.
It’s worth noting, though, that the scumbag said Congress should default on the national debt rather than raise the ceiling. Not that the spendthrift Democrats should get their irresponsible way, to be sure. But what else could we expect from Trump, who’s notorious for pulling bankruptcy after bankruptcy to screw his countless creditors and everybody else?
It’s also worth noting that Congressbrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and fellow self-serving, self-anointed progressive Democrats have condemned CNN for giving Trump a forum presumably more effective than his own feeble website. Merely the same old bullshit we’ve come to expect in the same old defiantly paranoid, boorish way we’ve come to expect of people who ban, shout down, and physically attack speakers with views different from their own.
(Reactionary Republicans merely ban books.)
So that takes us to Trump’s ideal running mate in 2024, George Santos. He’s only a year older than AOC—what a couple they’d make. He’s been charged with seven counts of wire fraud, three counts of money laundering, one count of theft of public funds, and two counts of making materially false statements to the House of Representatives. (I didn’t know lying to Congress was a crime. Lying in Congress is practiced by just about every whore we send there, after all. Apologies to whores, as usual.)
Of course, the agency that charged the vulnerable young Republican is the allegedly nonpolitical Democratic Department of Justice. So it makes perfect sense that George pleaded not guilty and says he intends to run for a second term. (Unless he’s drafted to run with Trump, of course.) And fellow-Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, knowing how tenuous his party’s majority in the House is, knows better than to risk losing even one safe GOP vote, so George retains his seat. And isn’t he innocent until actually proven guilty of those 13 heinous crimes anyway?
Why hasn’t the nonpolitical Democratic Department of Justice done a bloody thing about the well-publicized criminal activities of Hunter Biden or the people who threatened the Supreme Court justices who dumped Roe v. Wade? Silly question.
(I wouldn’t surprise me if Joe Biden, being a dutiful father, was willing to come out of retirement and take on the presidency simply and solely as a means of protecting his errant surviving son.)
Back to George Santos. The admitted con artist claims his indictment is nothing but a political witch hunt. Whom does that remind you of?
Anyway, it’s been suggested that George may not even be gay. In that case, shame on him for feigning homosexuality. Wasn’t it enough that he lied about all those other things that he hasn’t been indicted for? Remember when homosexuals preferred to stay in the closet, even after homosexual behavior was finally and mercifully decriminalized?
Or maybe George is simply avoiding a match with AOC . . .
