8 November—Remember the Vindman brothers? They’re the Ukrainian-born twins, both U.S. Army lieutenant colonels working for the National Security Council, who were fired by President Donald Trump in 2019 because Alexander testified under oath in a congressional hearing about Trump’s abuse of power in what’s known as the Trump-Ukraine scandal, leading up to the Teflon Donald’s first impeachment (which, like the second, was a silly Democrat waste of time from the get-go).
Well, it’s a pleasure to report that Alexander’s brother, Eugene, just got himself elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. As a Democrat, not surprising in the circumstance. He narrowly (51.1% to 48.9 %) defeated another Army veteran and lawyer, Republican former Green Beret officer Derrick Anderson, for Virginia’s 7th district seat, last occupied by a Democrat but thitherto by Republicans.
Trump hasn’t commented in public about Eugene Vindman’s election.
