Scoop: Real cause of global warming II

11 November—COP 29 convened today in Baku, Azerbaijan, and is scheduled to adjourn on 22 November. COP 29 is the 29th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Conference of the Parties? Framework Convention? You wonder what typically pompous bureaucrat came up with that typically pompous bureaucratic name for a typically pompous bureaucratic waste of time.

What’s happening at COP 29 anyway? Nothing of importance, to be sure. As usual. People—mostly bankrolled by governments (and therefore taxpayers)—who want to mouth off about global warming are mouthing off about global warming, hoping to get typically undeserved media coverage. More important, there are photo ops, parties, dinners, and other social events to make the whole thing worthwhile. For the COP 29 vacationers, anyway.

If those three paragraphs seem familiar, you must recall having read them on 4 December 2023. The COP number, dates, and venue have been updated, but everything else is the same. And as true, applicable, and relevant as it all was a year ago. And ever will be, world without end. Amen.

The Republic of Azerbaijan, by the way, formerly a constituent of the Soviet Union, is an authoritarian country of about 10 million mostly Muslims in the Caucasus Mountains where Eastern Europe becomes Western Asia. We look forward to COP 30 in Belém, Brazil, a country whose sitting president is a convicted criminal. But he actually served time.

Also from the 4 December 2023 disquisition, but not updated because there’s nothing to update except COP 28:

Back in the good old U.S.A., we find ourselves in Richmond, California. It’s a city you’ve never heard of, with a population of about 110,000—just a bit smaller than Waterbury and Hartford. On 7 October, the very same day Hamas invaded Israel and committed unspeakable atrocitities, Richmond’s City Council passed a resolution, sponsored by Mayor Eduardo Martinez and Vice Mayor Gayle McLaughlin, that said: “The city of Richmond stands in solidarity with the Palestinian people of Gaza, who are currently facing a campaign of ethnic cleansing and collective punishment by the state of Israel.”

And those nitwits were serious!

On 24 October, after lots of well-deserved criticism and opprobrium, the Richmond City Council, afflicted with a majority who are members of the flaky Richmond Progressive Alliance (of course), passed an amended resolution, which is reproduced below. Suffice to say, despite the disclaimer, it’s even stupider and more antisemitic than the original resolution.

The published resolution is, predictably, imbecilic, semi-literate, and full of misstatements and typographical errors, as in the sixth Whereas, which refers to “ethnic cleaning” and “an ethnically homogenous geographic area.” The morons who drafted it obviously don’t know the difference between homogenous and homogeneous.

All those Whereases must make the Richmond City Council cretins feel important.

But what has Richmond’s despicable antisemitic resolution got to do with COP 28? Well, all the climate alarmists in Dubai think they know what causes global warming. But they haven’t got a clue; it’s not fossil-fuel emissions, not even cow and termite flatulence.

What COP 28 needs to do, then, is simply call up the Richmond City Council to learn the true and obvious cause of global warming: It simply has to be Jews . . .
