13 May—Mentally unhealthy, professionally unqualified Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. may have done America a favor by taking a dip in Washington D.C.’s Rock Creek on Mother’s Day. He broke the law, of course, but it’s seldom enforced—and since he’s a Trump flunkie it’s par for the course anyway. But swimming has been illegal in Rock Creek and most of the other watercourses in D.C. for half a century because of contamination from the city’s aged sewer system. (Don’t ask why nothing has been done about the problem, like routing the sewage to the Capitol and the White House.) The National Park Service’s Rock Creek Conservancy has posted signs warning of the bacterial pollution problem and advising people to keep themselves and their pets out of the polluted water. Here’s one:

So maybe the crap floating in the creek will put an end to the misguided, mendacious screwball and founder of Waterkeeper Alliance when he evidently was an environmental activist. But we hope that his grandchildren who dipped in Rock Creek with Bobby Jr. won’t be victims of the elevated level of the noxious strain of E. coli, as pictured here:

Too bad Donald didn’t jump in Rock Creek with Bobby Jr. . . .
