15 December—Australia’s gun ownership laws are pretty much on a par with Connecticut’s. Antisemitism in Australia is pretty much on a par with antisemitism everywhere else. Except Israel, of course; it’s different there, but it’s there, even among Jews.

The father, Sajid Akram, and son, Naveed Akram, who shot up the “Chanukah by the Sea” first-night celebration at Sydney Australia’s Bondi Beach yesterday, murdering at least 15 Jews and injuring many others, were Muslims. The father was killed by police, the son is currently hospitalized with critical injuries and is in a coma. Both murderers are known to have pledged allegiance to the Islamic State.

The Islamic State, also known by the English acronyms ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) and ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) and by the Arabic Daesh, is a violently militant transnational so-called jihadist group that abuses Islamic law to achieve its evil ends. The Islamic State has been designated a terrorist organization by the United States and Australia, as well as most of the world’s nations and the United Nations.

That said, was the Bondi Beach Chanukah massacre a terrorist function of ISIS or simply the work of two anti-Jewish crazies who happened to be Muslims and ISIS followers?

The man dubbed the Bondi Beach Hero, on the other hand, Ahmed al-Ahmed, also is a Muslim. He wrestled Naveed Akram’s rifle from him and forced the boy’s retreat, probably saving the young bugger’s life, and getting himself shot in the hand and arm by father Sajid Akram, likely saving some more Jewish lives.

Following the Bondi Beach shooting, a Muslim cemetery in Sydney has been desecrated with decapitated pig heads.

Tucker Carlson’s equally obnoxious antisemitic brother claimed that the Bondi Beach bloodbath was really a so-called false flag operation, with actors, orchestrated by the Israel Defense Forces—in particular, Mossad, Israel’s CIA—to win sympathy for Israel’s diplomatic problems.

Pope Leo XIV issued this bromide: “Enough with this antisemitic violence! Let us eliminate hatred from our hearts. Entrust to the Lord the victims of the terrorist massacre carried out yesterday in Sydney against the Jewish community.” Easy for him to say.

And of course all the usual suspects are promising to take guns away from citizens and otherwise stiffen firearm laws in the name of ending gun violence . . .
