22 March—Here are some—just some—of the desirable personal qualities you won’t find in Donald Trump. For convenience, they’re listed here in alphabetical order: altruism, compassion, competence, conscience, courtesy, discretion, empathy, fairness, generosity, graciousness, gravitas, honesty, humility, kindness, judgement, loyalty, modesty, morality, nobility, principle, prudence, rationality, reliability, sanity, self-discipline, selflessness, stability, tact, taste, tolerance.
What’s conspicuously missing? Oh yes, class. Well, lest there be any vestigial doubt that Trump totally lacks class as well, consider his spiteful reaction yesterday to Robert Mueller’s death: “Robert Mueller just died. Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people!” Suffice to say, unlike Donald Trump, Robert Mueller never hurt innocent people. And, unlike Donald Trump, he served his country honorably and courageously.
What, you may wonder, would Trump’s reaction be to the death of, say, Russian autocrat Vladimir Putrid, “a guy who’s very savvy,” whom, as Trump said in 2022, he knows “very well, very, very well,” and was “going to go in (to Ukraine) and be a peacekeeper.”
And how do you think Trump would react to the death of Hungarian dictator Viktor Orbán? “I like and respect him,” Trump gushed. “He’s done a fantastic job . . . one of the most respected men. They call him a strongman. Smart prime minister of Hungary.”
And then there’s North Korean tyrant Kim Jong Un, who’s about the same age as Trump’s middle son Eric. You’ll recall that after Kim, who’s “very smart, loves his people, loves his country,” and “has been really very open, frankly,” “wrote me beautiful letters and they’re great letters, we fell in love.” Moreover, “I do trust him, yeah,” Trump confided. In all events, it’s doubtful that Kim fell in love with Trump. And it’s more likely that what Trump calls love is actually lust, because he’s incapable of love but has a rap sheet full of lust. But how do his MAGA morons feel about their supreme leader’s homosexual lust?
So what reaction may be expected upon the death of Donald Trump? By whatever means. Well, it’s pretty safe to predict that the reaction at home and abroad will be something like: “Donald Trump just died. Good, I’m glad he’s finally dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people!”
